"Parliament Braces for Stormy Debate in Second Week of July 1 Session"

 Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha faced multiple adjournments on Friday as opposition parties pushed for a debate on the NEET-UG row, setting the stage for a contentious second week of the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha beginning on Monday, July 1. The upcoming sessions are expected to witness intense debates and heated exchanges between the BJP-led NDA government and opposition parties on various pressing issues.

In the Lok Sabha, 16 hours have been earmarked for the debate on the Motion of Thanks, culminating with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's response scheduled for Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha has allocated 21 hours for deliberations, with the Prime Minister anticipated to address the house on Wednesday.

The opposition's protest centers around the NEET-UG exam leak controversy, which has dominated the agenda during the first week of the Parliament session. Opposition leaders, including Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, have pushed for immediate discussions on the NEET-UG issue. However, the Speaker dismissed these requests, citing procedural constraints and the scheduled Motion of Thanks on the President's address.

The NEET-UG row has underscored deep divisions and concerns within the Parliament, reflecting broader public anxieties over educational integrity and governance.
